First there was Travis Stewart aka Machine Drum with his hip-hop influenced grooves like Half The Battle, released on Merck (R.I.P). The label put out a lot of great albums in the early 2000′s from people like Malcom Kipe, Proem and Tycho. Check them out.

Then there was the glitchy stuff of alter ego Tstewart. Camp Lejune is a good one,

‘Machine Drum’ lays low and re-invents himself. First on LuckyMe and now a new release on Planet Mu! Here’s a track from Room(s), some very fresh and varied vibes on this one, proving the man’s versatility.

There is a revival of garage happening in the UK, things have come full circle. Some people label it Future Garage. Artists like Joy Orbison, Duncan Powell, Submerse, Ramadanman and Burial are good examples. Others like Joker and Guido are making some sick progressive dubstep. King Roc – Chapters. I must admit that I don’t know much at all about King Roc apart from some random mentions. Chapters is not really an album of individual songs but one huge long 80 minute ride of electronic soundscapes. It’s better than a lot of stuff out there right now.

The first single from the highly anticipated Jay Z release Blueprint 3 has had it’s first airplay! The single is called D.O.A (Death of Autotune)

Here is the new single from Eminem called ‘We Made You’.  This is the first track from his new album ‘Relapse’ due out in May this year.  Sounds alot like his D12 stuff..I expected something different, but it’s just good to hear Em on a track again.
